Julia March is a licensed skin care therapist trained in medical aesthetics, facial acupressure, lymphatic drainage technique and Vortex Healing®.
Julia is also a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (RCST®)
Julia March uses energy work (Reiki and Vortex healing®, among other techniques) in the Alpha State facial ($345) to bring brain waves to resting frequencies (the alpha state). It complements the treatment’s more clinical steps, like microdermabrasion and micro-current muscle lifting. Her goal: 'to treat the whole person'. Call it the mind-beauty connection.
Pure. Natural. Glowing. Radiant. That’s what I wish for your skin – absolute healing from the inside out. My philosophy relies on a simple principle: beauty is a process of re-balancing and rejuvenation that affects the whole being.
I believe that the paths to authentic beauty and wellness, which are inextricably linked, must take place on three levels simultaneously: in the body, mind and soul. When all three aspects are in harmony you will feel beautiful on the outside and renewed on the inside. You’ll leave my table with more than just a luminous, healthy looking face; you’ll feel utterly restored, and vivified. This deep sense of internal balance and centering allows us to see the world and our lives in perfect equipoise.
I studied at the Christine Valmy International School of Aesthetics, Dermologica Institute (NYC) and was trained by Anna-Dee Rinehart, a pioneer in medical esthetics. But my career as a skin care therapist and healer truly began when I was a young child in Slovakia: my grandmother was my first teacher. I watched her making her own creams out of flower petals, herbs and oils. I learned early that nature provides everything we need, and this inspired me to do my own beauty rituals as a teenager: weekly herbal steams and fruit yogurt masks.
My grandmother once said, “Nobody is going to marry you if you have freckles,” and although that proved entirely wrong, her enchantment with beauty and healing is a passion I’ve carried throughout my life.
I came to the states against my father’s wishes – he wanted me to become a teacher. I followed my heart instead, my grandmother’s healing wisdom always in the back of my mind. One of my first clients was a British Vogue editor who asked me how long I’d been an esthetician. When I told her I just started, she was stunned – she said that my hands felt like those of her veteran facialist, someone that she’d been going to for ten years. That’s when I knew I was on the right path.
From 2000 until 2002 I was the senior esthetician at one of the most prestigious salons in NYC where I offered treatments to celebrities, models and editors. This is when I began to hear from clients not just that I helped them look and feel more beautiful, but that my facials felt like healing sessions with an energy worker. This confirmed something I’d sensed since I was a young child – that I could manifest positive outcomes energetically.
I began to study Reiki®, Pranic Healing and later resonated with a powerful healing modality called Vortex Healing®, completing the Omega level. My healing journey led me to the discovery of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, which became my absolute passion. All of these skills are embedded in my facials, along with the knowledge I’ve collected on my own healing path: how supplements and a clean diet can slow down the aging process, clear up the skin and help us live healthy, radiant and joyous lives.
I began my own practice in Soho in 2002. My hands have touched the faces of Bridget Hall, Linda Evangelista, Eva Mendez, Minnie Driver, Dani Shapiro, Richard Armitage, Eva Herzigova, Liv Tyler, Michaela Conlin, Robin Renzi (Me&Ro) and others. I am grateful to work with such beautiful people, but my biggest pleasure still comes from seeing a bright, relaxed, and rejuvenated smile at the end of a facial.
I never tire of experiencing this with my clients, old and new.
